The Real Fyre Burnt Split Oak Vented Gas Log Set by RH Peterson
Bring the warmth and character of a true wood-burning fire into your home with the Charred (Burnt) Oak Gas Log Set from Real Fyre. Crafted using molds made from real oak wood samples, each log showcases intricate bark textures and the rich, natural coloration of deeply charred wood for an exceptionally authentic appearance. The result is a rustic, realistic fire presentation that elevates any living space.
Engineered for durability and long-term performance, Real Fyre logs are constructed from high-quality refractory ceramics that maintain their strength under extreme heat. Internal steel rod reinforcement adds structural integrity, ensuring each log retains its shape and beauty for years of use. These logs not only look realistic—they radiate warmth efficiently during operation and continue to release heat even after the fire is turned off.

The G46 Burner System – Our Preferred Choice for Vented Gas Logs
When choosing a vented gas log set, presentation matters just as much as performance. A quality system should deliver a strong, attractive flame, fit your fireplace properly, and maintain a clean, uncluttered appearance without exposed components.
That’s why the G46 Burner System is our top recommendation for Real Fyre vented gas log sets ranging from 18" to 30".
Often referred to as the “space saver,” the G46 features a trapezoidal design that closely matches the shape of most fireplaces, allowing for a precise fit and a more natural flame pattern. Unlike other burners, the G46 conceals its controls at the rear of the burner, eliminating visible valves and creating a cleaner, more polished presentation than the G45. And most importantly—it delivers an excellent, consistent burn.
Additional G46 Burner System Features
-
Ember Glow™ technology for enhanced realism and depth
- Highly efficient design that uses less gas than the G45
-
ANSI Certified – factory assembled and safety tested for reliability and performance
Control Valve Options
Choose the control style that best fits your lifestyle and fireplace setup:
1. Manual Control (Standing Pilot)
A simple, reliable option featuring a standing pilot and a control knob on the burner to adjust flame height manually.
2. On/Off Remote Control (Standing Pilot)
Includes a millivolt control valve with an On/Off remote. Can also be paired with a wall switch for added convenience.
3. Variable Flame Remote Control (Standing Pilot)
Offers all the benefits of the standard remote model, plus precise flame height adjustment—from low to high and everything in between.
4. Electronic Ignition (Battery-Powered) with On/Off Remote
Eliminates the standing pilot entirely. A battery-powered spark ignition activates when turned on and shuts off when not in use. Controlled via a standard On/Off remote. This option uses less gas but requires a slightly longer warm-up time compared to standing pilot systems.

Recommended Accessories (Optional - Not Required)

Lava Rock - We strongly recommend purchasing Lava Fyre Coals and/or Lava Fyre Granules (we just refer to them collectively as lava rock) to complete the look of your vented log set.
Putting lava rock around your log set enhances the look of the glowing embers. The lava rock blends in nicely with the glowing embers giving off a realistic ash pan look. Without the lava rock, the embers look more like cotton balls sitting on a bare brick floor.
Lava Fyre Coals are bigger, more like rocks, and the granules are about the size of pebbles. Whether you prefer just coals, just granules or a mix of both, we highly recommend adding lava rock to your order.
10 pounds of Lava Rock generously covers fireplace with 36" opening.
Wood Chunk Decorative Cover - if you opt for a remote control operated log set, we always recommend the wood chunk cover to "cover up" the receiver box & hide the cords.
