Traditional wood-burning fireplaces send a significant amount of heat up the chimney, creating negative pressure inside the home. This draws cold outdoor air in through doors and windows, often making your home feel colder—not warmer. Wood fires can also produce ash, smoke, and fumes that contribute to mess and may aggravate allergies.
Direct-vent fireplace inserts are classified as zone heating appliances, meaning they heat the space you actually use instead of wasting energy throughout the home. Unlike central furnaces—which can lose 20–30% of heat through ductwork and distribute warmth to unoccupied rooms—zone heating delivers warmth directly into the living space. This allows you to lower your home’s thermostat and efficiently heat the room you use most.
Efficient Venting & Easy Installation
The direct-vent system uses 3-inch flexible co-linear vent pipes—one draws fresh air from outside the home, while the other safely exhausts combustion gases outdoors. This flexible metal venting allows for easy installation into both site-built and manufactured fireplaces.
For added safety, fireplace barrier screens—required for all direct-vent systems—help protect you and your family from accidental contact with the hot glass.

Surround Options
Optional bottom cover available for installations where the insert does not rest directly on the hearth.
For larger fireplace openings, an optional shroud (48" W x just under 38" H) provides a clean transition between the insert and existing fireplace.
Decorative Fronts, Doors & Trim
Available in Black or Bronze finishes, decorative fronts attach easily to a one-piece metal frame (Matte Black or Bronze). All fronts include protective barrier screens.
