Easy Installation

The Empire Fresh Air Kit must be installed during the initial setup of your firebox. This ensures it integrates seamlessly with your fireplace system. The kit includes:

• Outside Air Vent Assembly
• Slide Assembly
• Handle Retainer (not shown)
• Phillips Truss Head Screw 10 x ½ - QTY - 2
• Hex Head Screw  10 x ½ BLACK - QTY - 4
• Hex Head Slotted Screw 10 x 1½ - QTY - 4

Tools Required:

• Gloves
• Metal Snips
• 5/16” Nut Driver
• Phillips Screwdriver

Installation Steps

• Remove the rectangular cutout on the left side of the unit. Use gloves and metal snips to create an opening for the Air Door assembly.
• Insert the Slide Assembly through the cutout and secure it with the provided screws.
• Determine the required length of 4” aluminum flex duct (not provided) from the firebox to the exterior wall. Attach the duct to the Slide Assembly collar and secure it to the outside air vent assembly.
• Secure the Outside Air Vent Assembly to the exterior wall with screws and seal with caulk to ensure air tightness.

Pre-Delivery

Typically, shipments arrive without issue, but if you do encounter a problem, please carefully inspect your packages following the guidelines. If there is any damage, photos must be sent to support@bbqgenerals.com within 48 hours of receipt to initiate a return or exchange.

Upon Delivery:

Upon arrival, verify that the number of pallets/pieces listed on the delivery receipt matches the expected amount. If there are any missing pieces, make a note of it on the receipt before signing, for example, "Received 3 out of 4 pieces." Contact us at (800)-375-3243 immediately if any pieces are missing. We will work with the delivery company to find the missing items or arrange for replacements.

As soon as the shipment arrives, inspect it for any visible damages such as crushed box corners, holes, or broken pallets, which can indicate internal damage. 

After accepting the shipment, examine the package for any concealed damage. You have 48 hours to send us photos of the damage at support@bbqgenerals.com. You can also report any concealed damage by calling (800)-375-3243, and we will guide you through the Damaged delivery process.

Orders less than $99 ship at a low, fixed price and the shipping fee remains the same even if the order amount increases.
