This fireplace unit includes a battery backup system located in a wall box, giving the flexibility to choose between manual control or remote operation. The included remote also includes an optional standing pilot mode, which allows for more efficient operation in cold climate conditions. This configuration of the Boulevard fireplace features a unique see-through design, as well. This setup allows the fireplace to be viewed from two different rooms simultaneously to create an impressive focal point in multiple rooms. When used with the DFED489SS outdoor kit, this unit can even be installed on an exterior wall to create an indoor/outdoor fireplace viewing experience (outdoor kit sold separately).
